Frequently Asked Questions

Cleaning my golf cart

How to clean under the seat of my cart?
Avoid getting the electrical components wet! Put the cart in TOW position to disable the operating circuit. Use a plastic garbage bag to cover the controller area. Spray loose dirt off with a hose.
 How to clean my cart?
Do not spray directly into the charging port, speaker areas or any exposed wires. Once the cart is wet, use warm water and a bit of dish soap to wash all other areas of the cart, then rinse with clean water and dry using microfiber cloths.

Lead Acid Battery Care

How often should I check the water level in my battery cells?
Batteries lose water through evaporation and while charging, so checking them monthly during the season, and every few months during the winter/off season is best. The distilled water should be an 1/8" under the lip inside the cover. If you overfill they will bubble out during charging and use, and will corrode the terminals and cables.
How often should I charge my cart?
Never run the batteries down to zero charge. It's best to charge your cart after a day of use. Charge regularly.
How do I clean the corrosion on my batteries?
It's best not to overfill the water in the battery cells or they will bubble up and corrode the terminals and cables. If this happens, use a paste of baking soda and water, and a wire brush to clean them up. Wear gloves! It's also a good idea to spray the terminals/cables with anti-corrosive spray to prevent corrosion and rust.
